IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) Malaysia Chapter Award of Excellence in Final Year Project (FYP),2021/2022 Session
IEEE Electron Devices Society Malaysia Chapter will be awarding the IEEE EDS MALAYSIA FYP AWARD of EXCELLENCE to the best final year project in micro and nanoelectronics devices for Undergraduate Students at your faculty/university respectively.
IEEE is the world’s largest professional association advancing innovation and technological excellence serving more than 400,000 members in over 160 countries. IEEE EDS’s vision is in promoting excellence in the field of electrondevices for the benefit of humanity.
Please submit the nomination form that contains the particulars of your respective candidates before September 1, 2021.The nomination form is attached with this letter.
All participants should submit the scanned copy of the nomination form (signed by the Dean/Head of Department) together with 5 minutes recorded video presentation (in YouTube link only) at the google form link:https://bit.ly/EDSFYPaward2021. Please note the final year project must fall under in Micro and Nanoelectronics Devices area and only 1 award recipient will be selected from each university. The award recipient (together with the supervisor) will receive an e-certificate from IEEE Electron Devices Society Malaysia Chapter. The complete list of winners will be reported in our quarterly newsletter to the IEEE EDS Headquarters in New Jersey, USA.

2017 IEEE EDS Final Year Project Award at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
IEEE Electron Devices Society Malaysia Chapter has sponsored an award for FYP Poster Competition 2017 organized by the Department of Electrical, Electronic and System Engineering, UKM on 24th May 2017. The award is to encourage FYP projects related to the area of VLSI, MEMS/NEMS etc., and also to acknowledge student working in these areas. The winner for the award was Mr. Ravinder Singh Sidhu A/L Amrik Singh and the poster entitled: Synthesis and Fabrication of PANI-Fex‑NiNanocomposite Thin Film Biosensor Synthesized by Low Heat Treatment (300℃) with 30kGy γ irradiation for Leptospira Detection in Wet Medium. The project was under the supervision of Assoc. Prof Dr. Huda Abdullah.
2017 IEEE EDS Final Year Project Award at International Islamic University Malaysia
IEEE Electron Devices Society Malaysia Chapter has sponsored an award for FYP Poster Competition 2017 organized by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering IIUM on 8th June 2017. The award is to encourage FYP projects related to the area of VLSI, MEMS/NEMS etc., and also to acknowledge student working in these areas. The winner for the award was Nurafiqah Bt Abdul Walid. The title of the project is Design and Performance Analysis of Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices for sensing application. The project was under the supervision of Dr Aliza Aini Binti Mohd Ralib.
