Postgraduate IEEE EDS Malaysia Award 2021

Description

The Postgraduate IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) Malaysia Award recognizes outstanding research projects that significantly contribute to the enhancement of electronic devices theory and/or applications. 

The outstanding project in four categories will each receive free access to IEEE Regional Symposium and Micro and Nanoelectronics 2021 (worth RM 450) which will be held online on August 2-4, 2021 and e- certificate from IEEE EDS Malaysia Chapter.

Eligibility

The nominees are required to submit a 5-minute pitch video and poster of their respective project. The awards are given to outstanding projects in electronic devices in these four categories:

1.      Outstanding project in MEMS and Nanoelectronics

2.      Outstanding project in Nanophotonics

3.      Outstanding project in IC Design and Manufacturing

4.      Outstanding project in Material, Process & Product

Important Dates

Submission deadline: July 20, 2021

Notification of award: July 30, 2021

Award-giving ceremony: August 2-4, 2021 (during IEEE Regional Symposium and Micro and Nanoelectronics 2021) 

Submission Procedures

A nomination should consist of the following items:

1.     The nomination form below should be attached together with the application.

        Self-nomination is also accepted.

2.     The nominated 5-minute pitch video must be in English language.

3.     Poster of the project.

4.     Project title and abstract (200 words).

5.     A list of the nominee’s publications and the corresponding electronic copy of the

        publications.

2018 IEEE EDS Malaysia Chapter Postgraduate Awards

During The Mini Colloquium: Distinguished Lecture has been conducted on 13th August 2018, the 3rd IEEE EDS Malaysia Postgraduate Awards were given away to shortlisted IEEE EDS student members who are pursuing their MSc and Phd research in Malaysia. The winners were Ahmad Anwar Zainuddin from IIUM  with his PhD project “Integrated Electrochemical and Mass Biosensor for early Dengue Detection”( MEMS & Nanoelectronics cluster), Intan Helina Hasan from ITMA UPM with his PhD project “Polycrystalline Ferrites Based Thick Film Paste for Improved Microstrip Patch Antenna” (Material, Process & Product cluster) Design cluster)Each winner received an honorarium of RM100, certificate and a plaque. Congratulations to all winners.

2020 IEEE EDS Malaysia Chapter Postgraduate Awards

During The 31st Annual General Meeting on 23rd  January 2021, the 4th IEEE EDS Malaysia Postgraduate Awards were given away to shortlisted IEEE EDS student members who are pursuing their MSc and Phd research in Malaysia. The winners were :
